Gregory O. Yorgey-Girdy is the first openly gay Black judge for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. An attorney with nearly two decades of experience in compliance, ethics, professional responsibility and civil litigation, Yorgey-Girdy has been also an entrepreneur, community leader and social justice activist. In 2018, Gregory completed his Master of Business Administration from Temple University Fox School of Business. Prior to obtaining his MBA, Gregory attended the University of Texas at Austin, and managed the Crime Victims’ Compensation Unit in the Texas Attorney General’s Office. His experience with the Office of the Attorney General in Texas inspired Gregory to pursue a career in law. He obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Widener University Delaware Law School and was admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”
