Grace Cafe Cooking Team
Join us on Sundays at Grace Cafe! Grace Cafe is a weekly to-go style community meal serving our communities most vulnerable residents, our neighbors currently experiencing homelessness and struggling with food insecurity. |
Every Sunday, The Center seeks 3 cooking assistants to prepare warm. nutritious meals from 11:30am to 4pm, or earlier depending on the meal that week. Cooks of all skills and talents are invited to volunteer.

Grace Cafe Meal Serve
The Grace Cafe Meal Serve Team plates the meals, and serves meals and drinks to guests in a sit-down, restaurant style format. Volunteers also assist guests with hygiene supplies, socks and underwear each week. Grace Cafe serves up to 100 meals each week. Grace Cafe Meal Serve volunteers are required to be at Arch Street UMC from 3:00pm to 6:30pm. Grace Cafe volunteers must be at least 12 years of age. Youth volunteers ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Wellness Collaborative
Volunteer to help provide nursing services to The Center’s guests!
We offer nursing services including blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, wound care, foot soaks, and help with scheduling medical appointments.
Nurses, NPs, nursing students – all are welcome to volunteer. Check the calendar for open volunteer days! Currently every other Tuesday.

Daytime Services
Daytime Services is The Center’s weekday drop-in shelter providing showers, laundry, short and long term case management, food, and other programming. Guests access these services from 9:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Thursday. Volunteers during this time support a variety of tasks, including assisting with setup and intake, distributing clothing, and helping with computer questions. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 8:30am to receive prepare for guests arrival.
Daytime Services volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete The Center’s volunteer orientation process, including background checks.
